Inorder to become a server administrator one should hold a bachelor's degree in engineering & it would be more relevant if the stream is computer science. You should have specialization in operating systems such as windows, Linuz or Mac. You must be comfortable to work with WANS , LANS and databases. Must be able to script in languages which include Bash, Perl and Python.
